How we work

A small team, an unusually boring process.

We build AI assistants, support agents and the custom systems a business runs on — trained on your products, your policies and your own data. Fixed scope, fixed price in USD, and the code is yours from the first commit.

AnantaHQ is a small engineering studio. That is the point, not an apology for one — you talk to the people writing your code, decisions take hours instead of weeks, and nobody is being billed to you for attending meetings. We work entirely in writing, which is what keeps that true — and a call whenever one is faster than typing.

The trade-off is that we cannot take on everything, so we are direct about what we are good at and quick to say when a project is not for us. When we do take work on, the commercial terms below are how we make a firm on the other side of the world a reasonable risk for you.

What we commit to

Each of these appears in the proposal you sign, not just on this page.

A fixed price, before we start

You approve a written scope and a number. That number does not move unless you ask for something that was not in it — and then you approve the change first.

A delivery date we commit to

Every proposal carries a date. If we miss it for a reason that is ours, you get 10% off the remaining balance for each week we are late.

You own everything

We build in your repository and your accounts from the first commit, and ownership of each milestone transfers to you as it is paid. No licence, no lock-in, no dependency on us to keep it running.

You talk to the engineers

A shared written thread with the people writing the code, and a working demo you can click every week. No account manager relaying messages, and no meetings you have to attend to find out where things stand.

The four steps

You know the price and the delivery date before step three starts, and you pay nothing to find out.

  1. 01Day 1

    You email us the problem

Two sentences is enough. We reply the same or next business day with honest questions, a rough cost and a rough timeline — and we say so if software is not the answer.

  2. 02Within 3 business days

    A written proposal

Fixed scope, fixed price in USD, a delivery date, and exactly what is not included. Free, and yours to keep whether or not you hire us.

  3. 032–12 weeks

    We build, you watch

A working environment you can open from week one, a written progress update every week with a link to click, and a shared channel with the engineers. Billing is tied to milestones you sign off.

  4. 04Launch week

    Handover and aftercare

Deployed to your infrastructure with written documentation and a recorded walkthrough. 30 days of fixes included, then a care plan if you want us to keep looking after it.

What we do, and what we won't

We will

  • Tell you when your problem needs a $2,000 fix rather than a $20,000 build
  • Put the price and the delivery date in writing before starting
  • Give you a working environment to click from week one
  • Hand over documentation and train your team to run it
  • Say no to work we don't think we're the right firm for

We won't

  • Bill by the hour on fixed-scope work
  • Put an account manager between you and the engineers
  • Hold your source code, accounts or domain as leverage
  • Quote a low number and grow it through change requests
  • Claim capabilities we can't demonstrate on request

Security & your data

Handing systems access to an outside firm is the part clients worry about most. Here is exactly how we handle it.

Your accounts, not ours

Wherever possible we build in your cloud, your repository and your domain, with access granted at the lowest level that lets us do the job — and revoked at handover.

NDA before anything sensitive

We sign a mutual NDA before you share systems, credentials or customer data. If your legal team prefers their own paper, we sign that instead.

Your data is never training data

We do not train public models on anything you give us. Where confidentiality is critical, we can run models entirely inside your own infrastructure so nothing leaves it.

GDPR and data processing

We sign a data processing agreement where GDPR or similar rules apply, and we will tell you exactly which sub-processors touch your data before we use them.

Your protection, in four lines

Mutual NDA before anything sensitive

Signed before you share systems, data or documents. Standard, and we sign yours if you prefer it.

Milestone billing, never up front in full

You pay in stages against work you have approved. Your exposure is one milestone at a time.

Written scope, or we don't start

Everything included and everything excluded, in plain English, agreed before the first line of code.

30 days of fixes after launch

Anything that does not work as specified is fixed free for a month after handover. No argument.
